Each year Pee Dee Electric Cooperative sponsors rising high school seniors to attend a weeklong, all expenses paid trip to the nation’s capital. This year Pee Dee Electric sponsored Kendall Chapman, Alexandria Parnell and Ranesha Stuckey.

2008 Jenny Ballard Scholarship Winner
This year, Pee Dee Electric is proud to announce one of the recipients is Kelly Harper. Ms. Harper is from Darlington and a member-owner of Pee Dee Electric Cooperative.

Pee Dee Electric Cooperative represented two students at the 2008 NICE Conference. Hakeem Damon attends Darlington High School. He is the son of Ruth Damon Lucky. Thomas Blackmon attends Mayo High School for Math, Science & Technology and is the son of Renetha D. Blackmon.

City of Florence Receives $300,000
Pee Dee Electric Cooperative has helped Florence obtain a $300,000 no-interest loan for downtown improvements, and the repaid money will enter a revolving loan fund to promote economic development in the Florence area.

Savannah Grove Solar School Dedicated
Pee Dee Electric Cooperative and Santee Cooper dedicated a Green Power Solar School today in Florence County at Savannah Grove Elementary School.
